I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I love this time between Christmas and the New Year. I feel excited about making plans, setting goals, starting afresh. I like to spend time reflecting on everything I have achieved during the year and thinking about the things I am grateful for.
I also begin to get myself organised for getting back to work. I am a mad list-writer, so the notebook is out and I am scribbling in it daily, noting down every little task that enters my head! But I think my favourite ritual of all is opening up my new diary for the coming year. I am a paper diary girl - I tried using the calendar on my phone for a while but soon realised that I much prefer putting pen to paper. I'm old school! For 2017 I treated myself to a gorgeous diary from Swedish stationery company, kikki.K.
It's a week to a view, with space for notes each week and an inspirational quote or message to get you thinking. There's also a monthly planner at the beginning of each month - great for highlighting key dates. At the back are more pages for notes, websites, a wish list and space to jot down your favourite movies, books, restaurants and bars. There's also a section for expenses, names and addresses, plus a list of public holidays by country. It has 2 ribbon page markers which is really handy as one is never enough for me and I always end up using little scraps of paper! Just inside the back cover is a little pocket containing "Life's Little Stickers" - a collection of super cute gold stickers to use to highlight special birthdays, meetings, holidays etc. I really love the colours too - I'm all about pink and gold at the moment so when I saw this diary I knew that it had to be mine.
So, what are your goals and intentions for the New Year? Have you made any resolutions? I'd love to hear - send me a comment below and let me know! I love this week's quote:
"Why fit in when you were born to stand out?" - Dr Seuss.
