Hello and Happy Spring!
I love this time of year. Down here in Cornwall, the daffodils have been out in force, popping up on roadsides, footpaths, fields and village squares. I’ve been filling the house with them and even if its grey and raining outside (which, let’s face it, it has been a lot recently) they make me feel all sunny and happy. I was up in London recently and the parks were bursting with colourful little crocuses. Seeing them always brings a smile to my face as I feel like we’ve got past the toughest part of the year and there’s a light at the end of the tunnel!
March has been a super busy month Pilates-wise! I’ve had lots of new clients signing up for classes and 1:1s, and we also had our second Move Nourish Thrive event on 18th March – a Pilates Brunch at Hawksfield Cornwall. The event was a sell-out which we were thrilled about! Thank you to everyone who came – we had such a lovely morning and we are already planning our next one for mid-May, so don’t forget to join our community (via the sign-up form on the website) to be kept informed of upcoming events.
Finally, here are just a few things I've been doing (and loving) in March...
Sukin - Australian Natural Skincare. I treated myself to a little bounty from this lovely skincare brand. I've already used their hand cream and foaming facial cleanser and love them. The products are 100% carbon neutral, vegan and cruelty free. Ronnie is pretty happy about that!
Nathalie Bond Organics. This lovely brand does natural skincare and candles made with organic ingredients; 100% chemical and cruelty free. I've bought myself the Rose Geranium + Patchouli bath salts. They smell absolutely divine and I can't wait to try them!
Baking. I've been doing lots of cooking, as usual! You might already know about the cooking challenge I've set for myself in 2017 - go follow my Instagram page - My Veggie Year - to keep up with what I'm cooking. A couple of my favourites have been the Beetroot, Chocolate and Espresso Brownies and the Courgette, Chocolate and Pistachio Cake. Both recipes are in the wonderful book, "Take One Veg" by Georgina Fuggle.
Beach days (and evenings). Now that Spring is here I'm wanting to spend more time outside. Even though we haven't seen a huge amount of sunshine yet this Spring, we have had some beautiful days and some stunning sunsets. More please!
